Job summary

Sigma Technologies is seeking experienced Make Ready Designers to support overhead pole design and joint-use projects for electric utilities. This remote opportunity focuses on evaluating pole conditions, attachments, and NESC clearances to create construction-ready designs.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in make-ready or distribution design, familiarity with DDS/Katapult/O-Calc and CAD tools, and willingness to travel occasionally as project needs require.

Qualifications

• Experience in make-ready engineering or joint-use design for electric distribution.
• Ability to apply NESC requirements and pole loading concepts.
• Experience with pole-based design packages and field data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Perform make-ready and overhead pole design work orders to meet quality, schedule, and budget goals.
• Review field data, pole information, attachments, and existing conditions for accuracy.
• Develop construction-ready make-ready designs including pole replacements and attachments.
• Apply NESC standards and client design criteria across projects.
• Coordinate with teams to resolve conflicts and ensure constructability.
