Job summary
Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer to provide premium support for CICS TS and WAS on z/OS. The role involves installation, maintenance, testing, and tuning of system software, with coordination of migrations and disaster recovery plans. Remote work is common in the US.
The ideal candidate has strong CICS TS/WAS knowledge, SMP/E experience, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years on the zSeries (mainframe) platform with hands-on installation and maintenance of CICS TS / WAS.
- Thorough knowledge of CICS TS configuration and related OEM products.
- Experience with IBM SMP/E.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Provide premium support for CICS TS and WAS on mainframe environments.
- Install, test and implement operating system updates and related software.
- Monitor and tune mainframe systems performance.
- Coordinate migrations and disaster recovery planning with teams.
- Follow ITSM change control procedures and best practices.
