Job summary

Rugby Holdings LLC is seeking a Procurement Specialist for a primarily remote role based in the Mid-West or West Coast. You will source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of lumber and building materials while controlling costs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in supply chain management or related fields, strong negotiation skills, and experience in the lumber industry. This is a remote position with travel to branch locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
• Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience in lumber/building materials procurement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors; negotiate pricing and terms.
• Develop purchasing strategies for lumber and building materials; monitor market trends.
• Place orders, monitor inventory, ensure timely delivery, resolve fulfillment/quality issues.
• Monitor costs; develop strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining quality.
• Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure optimal stock levels; forecast demand.
• Maintain records of purchases, contracts, supplier information; prepare reports on procurement activities.
• Ensure all purchasing complies with policies and regulations; stay updated on industry standards.
