Job summary

Rugby Architectural Building Products is hiring a Procurement Specialist for a mostly remote role based in the Mid-West or West Coast. The ideal candidate will source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of lumber and building materials.

Responsibilities include supplier management, procurement planning, order management, cost control, and reporting. Travel to branch locations is possible on occasion, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent understanding of procurement principles and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies for lumber and building materials.
• Place orders, monitor inventory, and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Monitor and analyze purchasing costs and develop cost-saving strategies.
• Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams for optimal stock levels.
• Maintain records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
• Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, costs, and performance metrics.
