Rugby Architectural Building Products is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of lumber and building materials. The role is primarily remote, based in the Mid-West or West Coast, with occasional travel to branch locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist in the lumber field.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent understanding of procurement principles and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors. Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure the best deals.
• Procurement Planning: Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet needs for lumber and building materials.
• Order Management: Place orders, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery.
• Cost Control: Monitor and analyze purchasing costs and develop strategies to reduce expenses.
• Inventory Management: Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records and present reports on procurement activities and performance metrics.
