Job summary

Texas LTC Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our remote team and support high-volume prescription processing for a long-term care audience. You will triage orders, enter prescriptions accurately, process refills, and handle insurance adjudications while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

The role is full-time, with a 1 pm–12 am schedule, rotating weekends, and training that gradually transitions to regular hours. Collaboration with pharmacists and other staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Unblemished TSBP Pharmacy Technician Registration in good standing.
• One year of high-volume order entry experience.
• Experience in Long Term Care pharmacy.
• Proficient with PC and learning new software.

Responsibilities

• Triage and process Rx orders according to workflow and cut-off times.
• Enter Rx orders accurately and handle refills as requested.
• Process 3rd party insurance adjudications and handle rejections.
• Coordinate pharmacy inquiries via phone, fax, or electronic means.
• Communicate with Retail Pharmacies and delivery services to coordinate fillings.
• Maintain HIPAA compliant patient confidentiality and data accuracy.
• Monitor order statuses and update customers on shipments.
• Work closely with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure timely processing.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations and company policies.
• Handle inquiries and resolve customer issues professionally.
