Job summary

Blackbird Recruiting is assisting a nursing home group by hiring a Billing Supervisor for a fully remote role. You will oversee the complete revenue cycle across a portfolio of long‑term care facilities and lead a billing team with minimal hand‑holding.

Responsibilities include managing Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance claims; monitoring AR; ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements; training staff; and delivering AR metrics to leadership.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of billing experience in long-term care or similar healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of Medicare Part A, Medicaid, and managed care billing.
• Supervisory or team lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day billing operations for a nursing home portfolio.
• Manage Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance claims from submission through reimbursement.
• Monitor accounts receivable, identify collection issues, and drive resolution.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state billing regulations and payer requirements.
• Train, mentor, and hold accountable a team of billing staff.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate documentation.
• Prepare billing reports and present AR metrics to leadership.
