Job summary

Blackbird Recruiting is assisting a nursing home group by hiring a Billing Supervisor for a fully remote role. You will oversee the complete revenue cycle across a portfolio of long‑term care facilities and lead a billing team with minimal hand‑holding.

Responsibilities include managing Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance claims; monitoring AR; ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements; training staff; and delivering AR metrics to leadership.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of billing experience in long-term care or similar healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of Medicare Part A, Medicaid, and managed care billing.
• Supervisory or team lead experience.

Billing Supervisor — Long-Term Care | Remote

Our client is a nursing home group seeking an experienced Billing Supervisor to oversee the full revenue cycle for their long-term care facilities. This is a remote role for someone who knows LTC billing inside and out and can lead a team without hand-holding.

What You’ll Do

• Supervise and manage the day-to-day billing operations for a nursing home portfolio
• Oversee Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance claims from submission through reimbursement
• Monitor accounts receivable, identify collection issues, and drive resolution
• Ensure compliance with federal and state billing regulations and payer requirements
• Train, mentor, and hold accountable a team of billing staff

• Prepare billing reports and present AR metrics to leadership

What We’re Looking For

Must Have

• 3–5+ years of billing experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a related healthcare setting
• Working knowledge of Medicare Part A, Medicaid, and managed care billing
• Supervisory or team lead experience
• Strong understanding of UB-04 claims and LTC revenue cycle workflows
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with PointClickCare or similar LTC software
• Familiarity with MDS/RUG or PDPM reimbursement models
• CPC, CPMA, or related billing certification
