Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Loss Draft Specialist to remotely handle loss draft and property damage requirements, including processing checks, documents, inspections, and reviews. You will evaluate exceptions, monitor queues, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

The role requires 2+ years in insurance or related fields, strong attention to detail, and solid communication skills to support clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in insurance, banking, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of claims handling and insurance theory.
• Familiarity with property estimating systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Process loss drafts and property damage requirements, inspections, and reviews.
• Review depreciation, scope/costs, and take appropriate action.
• Determine draw eligibility by reviewing claim packages and reports.
• Assess claim classification to reduce risk or loss.
• Follow policies, laws, and regulations in claims handling.
• Initiate fraud processes when necessary and monitor service quality.
• Coordinate with appraisers, contractors, inspectors, and loss draft staff.
• Operate client and company proprietary applications; respond to requests promptly.
• Provide backup to meet client requirements and SLAs.
