Job summary

CEVA Logistics in California is seeking a full-time employee to oversee transportation and customs processes, delivering customer service for shipments and documentation in line with federal and foreign rules.

You will supervise departmental activities, train staff, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with complex regulations, including ITAR and hazmat standards. A mix of on-site coordination and remote collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus at least four years related experience.
• Minimum one year supervisory experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of ITAR, Import Brokerage, Export Compliance, Hazmat regulations and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
• Provide responsible supervision and control for all departmental activities; assist in retention and training; conduct staff meetings.
• Oversee performance statistics; review shipment documentation for accuracy per regulations.
• Examine invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements to ensure compliance with federal and foreign laws.
• Compute duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight and volume for exports/imports; liaise with customs officials as needed.
• Establish, monitor, and revise policies for customs clearance operations.
• Identify areas of concern in clients’ import/export processes and perform regular audits.
• Communicate with operations manager and maintain flexible work schedule including on-call after hours.
