Job summary

Right Fit Advisors is seeking an experienced Business Developer to expand the network of shippers and secure new dedicated contracts and freight lanes. The role requires 3–5 years in shipping or logistics, with a preference for freight brokerage background.

You will independently generate leads, build client relationships, and manage the sales process through contract acquisition in a remote capacity. Prospecting tools and resources are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in shipping, logistics, freight brokerage, or related field.
• Freight brokerage experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in B2B sales, prospecting, and lead generation.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and identify new shippers and potential customers.
• Generate and manage your own sales pipeline.
• Secure new shipping contracts and dedicated freight lanes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers and clients.
• Conduct outreach, qualify prospects, and develop new business opportunities.
• Manage the sales process from initial prospecting through closing and contract acquisition.
• Identify customer shipping needs and opportunities that align with available capacity.
• Target prospects based on contract value and business potential.
• Negotiate and develop agreements with shippers.
