Tyson & Mendes is seeking a Legal Assistant to support attorneys in civil litigation and insurance defense. This remote, full-time role focuses on drafting and e-filing documents, calendar management, and trial prep in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with a team of seasoned litigators, handle confidential information, and utilize Westlaw, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat to meet tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a litigation legal assistant.
• Experience with state, federal, and appellate filings in California.
• Strong MS Office and Adobe Acrobat proficiency.
• Independent work style with ability to meet deadlines.
• Team player with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Format pleadings and correspondence.
• File and E-file documents in state, federal, and appellate courts.
• Prepare Table of Contents and Table of Authorities for motions.
• Docket case related deadlines.
• Research using Westlaw.
• Assist with trial preparation and daily administrative tasks.
• Assist with document management and file organization.
