Job summary

Tyson & Mendes is seeking a Legal Assistant to support attorneys in civil litigation and insurance defense. You will draft and e-file documents, manage case calendars, coordinate hearings and trial prep, and communicate with clients and courts with professionalism and confidentiality.

The role requires litigation-support experience, strong organization, and proficiency in legal software, with an office presence 2 days per week in a fast-paced firm that values collaboration and career growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a litigation legal assistant.
• Preferred insurance defense and/or personal injury experience.
• Able to work from the office 2 days per week.
• Solid understanding of civil litigation (state and federal calendar deadlines and rules).
• Experience with state and federal court filings in California.
• High proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
