Job summary

BCD Meetings & Events seeks a Simple Congress Manager to support Life Sciences congress programs in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. You will manage logistics, attendee communications, budgets, and supplier coordination while partnering with internal teams, congress owners, and organizers for polished experiences.

The role emphasizes structured planning, clear communication, and compliance, with international travel less than 25% and a remote work setup within Central/Eastern US time

Qualifications

• 3+ years of congress, convention, or meeting planning experience, ideally in Life Sciences or pharmaceutical environments.
• Experience managing outside vendors, sourcing services, and negotiating contracts for best value.
• Strong customer service mindset with confidence handling client questions and high-touch attendee needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage congress logistics from registration and hotel room blocks to ground transportation, dining, and attendee communications.
• Maintain compliance, documentation, auditing readiness, and deadlines in a regulated environment.
• Build and reconcile budgets, review invoices and contracts, and keep programs financially on track.
• Use Cvent to maintain accurate attendee data, reporting, and communications across multiple workstreams.
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to solve problems quickly and move projects forward.
