BCD Meetings & Events is seeking a Simple Congress Manager to support Life Sciences congress programs in a fast-paced, regulated setting. You will manage logistics, attendee communications, and budgets, while coordinating with internal teams, congress owners, and organizers to deliver polished experiences.

This remote role operates in Central/Eastern time zones, with travel less than 25%. The position emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and proactive collaboration in a global event environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of congress, convention, or meeting planning experience.
• Experience managing outside vendors, sourcing services, and negotiating contracts.
• A strong customer service mindset with confidence handling client questions and high-touch attendee needs.

Responsibilities

• Managing congress logistics from registration and hotel room blocks to ground transportation, dining, and attendee communications
• Working in a compliance-focused, detail-driven environment where documentation, audit readiness, and deadlines are non-negotiable
• Building and reconciling budgets, reviewing invoices and contracts, and helping keep programs financially on track
• Using tools like Cvent to maintain accurate attendee data, reporting, and communications across multiple workstreams
• Partnering with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to solve problems quickly and keep projects moving forward.
