Job summary

BCD Meetings & Events is seeking a Simple Congress Manager to support Life Sciences congress programs in a fast-paced, regulated environment. You will oversee logistics, budgets, attendee data, and supplier coordination with internal teams and Professional Congress Organizers.

The role emphasizes compliance, precision, and collaboration, plus the opportunity to work in a flexible, growth-focused setting across multiple time zones.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of congress, convention, or meeting planning experience, ideally in Life Sciences or pharmaceutical environments.
• Experience managing outside vendors, sourcing services, and negotiating contracts for best value.
• Strong customer service mindset with confidence handling client questions and high-touch attendee needs.
• International attendee experience, travel industry knowledge, or destination expertise.
• Experience with Cvent, plus Spanish or Portuguese language skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage congress logistics from registration and hotel room blocks to ground transportation, dining, and attendee communications.
• Operate in a compliance-focused, detail-driven environment with rigorous documentation and deadlines.
• Build and reconcile budgets, review invoices and contracts, and keep programs financially on track.
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to solve problems and move projects forward.
