Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking an experienced inside sales professional for a 1099 independent-contractor life insurance sales role. You will handle a full sales pipeline, schedule calls, present carrier options, and guide clients from discovery to policy issuance.

You will rely on exclusive leads, a robust carrier network, and mentorship from agency leaders to sharpen your product knowledge and sales approach in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• Inside sales or BD experience.
• Comfortable working a pipeline and following up independently.
• Ability to explain a life insurance product to unfamiliar buyers.
• Has a state life insurance license or a plan to obtain it before first sale.
• Must have a reliable remote setup: computer, phone, internet.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct back-to-back appointments by phone or video.
• Present options across multiple carriers after discovery.
• Complete the application during the call and move to policy issue.
• Log conversations and next steps in the CRM as they happen.
• Inform clients while the carrier reviews the application.
• Stay updated on product details and state insurance rules.
