Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking independent insurance agents to remotely sell life coverage on a commission basis. You will contact leads, assess family finances, compare carrier options, and guide clients through applications with strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

Agents operate as independent contractors with mentorship from the owners, ongoing training, and weekly team calls. Licensing in the relevant state is required before selling.

Qualifications

• Background in banking, lending, or credit union member service.
• Comfortable with forms, disclosures, and precise recordkeeping.
• Able to discuss family finances respectfully and without pressure.
• State life insurance license or plan to get licensed before first sale.
• Self-directed, able to plan day and follow-up.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Contact people who have requested life insurance information and book appointments.
• Review each household's finances and obligations before discussing coverage.
• Explain how options differ across carriers, then complete the application together.
• Handle applications and disclosures accurately, because underwriting details matter.
• Track every open case through carrier review and keep clients informed.
• Log activity in the CRM and keep up with compliance training.
