Jobot is expanding its Legal Finance team and is hiring multiple Appeals Specialist or Coordinator roles for direct hire. This role centers on billing appeals, e-billing compliance, and rate administration within a fast-growing firm.

A successful candidate will review rejected invoices, adjust rates as needed, and support onboarding on e-billing platforms (Legal Tracker, CounselLink, BillBlast, Aderant, Elite). Salary is $70,000–$85,000 yearly, with fully remote options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in legal billing, appeals coordination, or e-billing administration.
• Strong knowledge of legal billing practices, rate structures, and client guidelines.
• Hands-on experience with major e-billing platforms (Legal Tracker, CounselLink, BillBlast, Aderant, Elite).

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze rejected, reduced, or disputed invoice line items submitted through client e-billing platforms.
• Draft and submit appeal justifications, corrections, or supporting documentation per client guidelines.
• Track status of appeals and ensure timely resolution and recovery.
• Maintain and update client-specific billing rates, discounts, and fee structures within billing systems.
• Work with client relationship managers and billing attorneys to review rate proposals, changes, and approvals.
• Serve as a key contact for e-billing submissions, troubleshoot submission errors, and audit transmissions.
