Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to manage lease accounting schedules under ASC 842 and support the general ledger processes. You will work with stakeholders across accounting to ensure accurate reporting and internal controls.

The role offers remote work options for qualified candidates in eligible states and a clear path for professional growth. The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting and hands-on GL experience, with preferred exposure to lease accounting standards and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting.
• Minimum one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of the end-to-end lease accounting process and related controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and associated journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects as requested by leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
