Job summary

Cable One is seeking a detail-oriented Lease Accounting Specialist to maintain ASC 842 schedules, analyze balance sheet accounts, and support internal and external reporting. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and assist with SOX compliance, audits, and process improvements in a dynamic telecom environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting; minimum 1 year of general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops end-to-end understanding of lease accounting processes, stakeholders, systems, and internal controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts; investigates and resolves variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC, PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
