Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to work remotely, serving as a subject matter expert for systems architecture and cloud technologies across North America. You will lead complex projects, mentor junior staff, and ensure reliable, scalable, and secure enterprise infrastructure.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing hybrid environments, automating tasks with PowerShell/Power Automate, and coordinating with vendors and IT teams to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Eight or more (8+) years of progressive IT experience, including five (5+) years of advanced systems engineering experience.
• Advanced certifications in Azure, VMware, or AWS preferred.
• Extensive experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Entra ID, and enterprise identity management.
• Experience with automation, scripting, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, implementation, optimization, and support of enterprise infrastructure.
• Drive infrastructure modernization, including cloud adoption, automation, security enhancements, and standardization.
• Partner with business leaders, vendors, and IT teams to align infrastructure with goals.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements for scalability, security, and performance.
• Develop technical documentation and operational procedures.
