Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to design, implement, and secure enterprise infrastructure across 80+ sites in North America. You will lead complex deployments, mentor juniors, and drive modernization including cloud adoption and automation.

Remote work is supported, with responsibilities spanning hybrid AD/M365/Azure environments and high-availability systems. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in IT, strong certifications, and a track record of Architecture, security, and project

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required.
Eight or more (8+) years of progressive IT experience, including five (5+) years of advanced systems engineering experience.
Advanced systems and cloud certifications preferred. Examples include: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
Extensive experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Entra ID, and enterprise identity management solutions.
Experience with automation, scripting, configuration management, and infrastructure‑as‑code principles.
Must hold a valid state driver's license and successfully pass a motor vehicle check.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, configure, secure, and maintain enterprise systems, server environments, storage platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
Lead complex infrastructure deployments, upgrades, migrations, and integration projects.
Architect and support hybrid environments involving Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and cloud-based services.
Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, security compliance, and system performance.
Provide advanced escalation support and technical leadership for IT operations and service delivery teams.
