Job summary

Oscar Health, Inc. is seeking a Lead Physician for its Virtual Health Assessment team. This remote role oversees APPs in a telemedicine setting, delivering high-quality care to Oscar members across a network of clinicians.

You will report to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment and join a multidisciplinary team committed to patient safety, care quality, and continuous improvement in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of primary care or urgent care experience.
• Experience supervising NP/PA clinicians.
• MD or DO from an ACGME-accredited medical school.
• ABMS board certification in specialty from residency.
• Unrestricted medical license in applicable states.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemedicine care with a multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise APPs (NPs and PAs) delivering care virtually.
• Clinical escalation point for the care delivery team as needed.
• Develop clinical guidelines and support care model improvements.
• Conduct quality assurance audits and ensure patient safety.
• Ensure superior member experience and care quality.
• Oversee growth and development of team and manage poor performance.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
