Job summary

Oscar Health, Inc. seeks a Lead Physician to join the Virtual Health Assessment team. This remote role delivers direct patient care via telemedicine within a multidisciplinary group and oversees APP supervision in a virtual setting. You will report to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment and help drive clinical initiatives.

The role emphasizes clinical leadership, guideline development, and quality assurance, with a focus on patient safety and superior member experience.

Qualifications

• Must have full medical licensure in good standing in Florida and at least three of the listed states.
• Completion of a medical residency program in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med-Peds.
• ABMS Board Certification corresponding to residency or additional training.
• 5+ years of primary care or urgent care experience.
• Unrestricted license to practice in GA, TX, FL or IMLCC.
• Experience supervising NPs and PAs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care via telemedicine with a multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise APPs delivering care in a virtual environment and foster clinical growth.
• Be the clinical escalation point for the care delivery team as needed.
• Contribute to clinical guideline development and care-model improvements.
• Conduct quality assurance audits and support supervisory audits as required.
• Ensure patient safety culture and high-quality care for patients.
