Job summary

Oscar Health, Inc. is seeking a Lead Physician for its Virtual Health Assessment team. You will oversee a panel of patients, provide high-quality care via telemedicine, and lead a multidisciplinary group in a remote setting.

You will supervise APPs (NPs/PAs), collaborate with RNs and MAs, and report to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment. The role emphasizes clinical leadership, guideline development, and patient safety while supporting Oscar strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Florida license in good standing plus eligibility in three additional states listed in the posting.
• Residency completion in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics.
• MD or DO degree from an ACGME accredited medical school.
• ABMS Board Certification corresponding to residency.
• 5+ years of primary care or urgent care experience.
• Unrestricted license to practice in GA, TX, FL or IMLCC.
• Experience supervising NP/PA clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care via telemedicine with a multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise APPs (NPs and PAs) delivering care virtually.
• Provide clinical escalation support for the care delivery team.
• Contribute to development of clinical guidelines and care model improvements.
• Perform quality assurance audits and state supervisory audits.
• Uphold patient safety and deliver superior member experience.
