Job summary

Oscar Health, Inc. is seeking a Lead Physician to join the Virtual Health Assessment team in a remote capacity. The role oversees APPs delivering care via telemedicine and provides clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must have full practice licensure in good standing in Florida plus at least three of the following states: Arizona; Arkansas; California; Colorado; District of Columbia; Georgia; Illinois; Massachusetts; Michigan; Nevada; New Hampshire; New Jersey; New York; North Carolina; Ohio; Pennsylvania; Texas, or Virginia
• Completion of medical residency program; specialty in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics required
• MD or DO from an ACGME accredited medical school
• ABMS Board Certification corresponding to completed residency program or additional training
• 5+ years of primary care [or Urgent care] experience
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in GA, TX, FL or IMLCC
• Experience in NP and PA supervision

Responsibilities

• Provide direct high quality, safe patient care via telemedicine (video, phone, messaging) while working with a multidisciplinary team
• Provide supervision to a group of APPs (NPs and PAs) who are delivering care in a virtual environment and provide professional & clinical growth
• Clinical escalation point for the care delivery team as needed (APPs, RNs, MAs)
• Support development of clinical guidelines, continuous improvement of care model, and participate in collaborative projects with Operations and Product team members as a clinical leader
• Conduct quality assurance audits in addition to required state supervisory audit requirements
• Ensure a culture of patient safety
• Be accountable for the quality of care of your patients and ensure superior member experience
• Conduct service recovery needs for Oscar patients
• Provide growth and development of your team including management of poor performance
• Other duties as assigned
