Job summary

Oscar Health, Inc. is seeking a Lead Physician for its Virtual Health Assessment team. The role oversees APPs delivering care in a fully remote environment and drives clinical guidelines and improvements in collaboration with Operations and Product teams.

The candidate must be board-certified with an MD or DO and hold an unrestricted license in at least one of several states; 5+ years of primary care experience and residency in Internal/Family/Medicine-Pediatrics are required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an ACGME accredited medical school.
• ABMS Board Certification corresponding to completed residency program or additional training.
• 5+ years of primary care or Urgent care experience.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in GA, TX, FL or IMLCC.
• Experience in NP and PA supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct high quality, safe patient care via telemedicine while working with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide supervision to APPs (NPs and PAs) delivering care in a virtual environment and promote professional growth.
• Clinical escalation point for the care delivery team as needed.
• Support development of clinical guidelines, continuous improvement of care model, and participate in collaborative projects with Operations and Product teams.
• Conduct quality assurance audits and ensure patient safety and superior member experience.
• Be accountable for the quality of care and growth and development of your team.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
