Job summary

Oscar Health, Inc. is hiring a Lead Physician to join its Virtual Health Assessment team in a remote role.

The Lead Physician will oversee physicians, APPs, RNs, and MAs delivering care via telemedicine, reporting to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment. The role requires an MD/DO, Internal Medicine/Family Medicine/Med-Peds residency, board certification, and multi-state licensure with 5+ years in primary care.

Qualifications

• Must have full medical licensure in good standing in Florida plus at least three of the following states: Arizona; Arkansas; California; Colorado; District of Columbia; Georgia; Illinois; Massachusetts; Michigan; Nevada; New Hampshire; New Jersey; New York; North Carolina; Ohio; Pennsylvania; Texas; or Virginia.
• Completion of medical residency program; specialty in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics required.
• MD or DO from an ACGME accredited medical school
• ABMS Board Certification corresponding to completed residency program or additional training
• 5+ years of primary care experience
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in GA, TX, FL or IMLCC
• Experience in NP and PA supervision

Responsibilities

• Provide direct high quality, safe patient care via telemedicine while working with a multidisciplinary team
• Provide supervision to a group of APPs (NPs and PAs) delivering care in a virtual environment
• Clinical escalation point for the care delivery team as needed
• Support development of clinical guidelines, continuous improvement of care model, and participate in collaborative projects with Operations and Product team members
• Conduct quality assurance audits in addition to required state supervisory audit requirements
• Ensure a culture of patient safety
• Be accountable for the quality of care of your patients and ensure superior member experience
• Conduct service recovery needs for Oscar patients
• Provide growth and development of your team including management of poor performance
• Other duties as assigned
