Job summary

Oscar Health, Inc. is seeking a Lead Physician to join our Virtual Health Assessment team, overseeing physicians and APPs delivering care to a patient panel via telemedicine. Reporting to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment, this role requires an active Florida license and multi-state eligibility.

The position is remote, full-time, with travel for team meetings as needed. The candidate will guide clinical guidelines, quality initiatives, and clinical growth of the APP team, including

Qualifications

• Florida full practice licensure in good standing
• Licensure in at least three of the states listed in the job posting (Arizona; Arkansas; California; Colorado; District of Columbia; Florida; Georgia; Illinois; Massachusetts; Michigan; Nevada; New Hampshire; New Jersey; New York; North Carolina; Ohio; Pennsylvania; Texas; Virginia)
• Completion of medical residency program in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Medicine-Pediatrics
• ABMS Board Certification corresponding to residency
• 5+ years of primary care or Urgent care experience
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in GA, TX, FL or IMLCC
• Bonus points: Spanish language fluency
• Prior telehealth experience
• 1+ years supervising teams (NPs and PAs)
• Experience with population health management, quality benchmarks, and productivity metrics

Responsibilities

• Provide direct high quality, safe patient care via telemedicine with a multidisciplinary team
• Supervise APPs (NPs and PAs) delivering care in a virtual environment
• Serve as clinical escalation point for care delivery team
• Support development of clinical guidelines and care model improvement
• Conduct quality assurance audits and ensure patient safety
• Be accountable for quality of care and member experience
• Manage service recovery for Oscar patients
• Develop and manage team growth, including supervising staff
• Other duties as assigned
