Job summary

Oscar Health, Inc. is seeking a Lead Physician for its Virtual Health Assessment team. The role oversees APPs and physicians delivering telemedicine care, reporting to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment.

This full-time remote position is open to multiple US states, with travel for meetings as needed. The Lead Physician will guide clinical care, develop guidelines, and drive quality and safety across the care model, ensuring excellent member experience.

Qualifications

• Eligibility: full medical license in good standing; Florida license plus 3 of listed states.
• Residency completion in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med-Peds.
• MD or DO from an ACGME-accredited medical school; ABMS board certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care via telemedicine with a multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise APPs (NPs and PAs) delivering care virtually.
• Serve as clinical escalation point for care delivery team.
• Contribute to development of clinical guidelines and care model improvements.
• Conduct quality assurance audits and state supervisory audits.
• Foster a culture of patient safety and superior member experience.
• Be accountable for patient care quality and outcomes.
• Manage growth and development of your team, including performance issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned and ensure regulatory compliance.
