Job summary

Oscar Health, Inc. seeks a Lead Physician for its Virtual Health Assessment team to oversee care delivery in a virtual setting. You will supervise APPs (NPs and PAs) and collaborate with RNs and Medical Assistants to ensure high-quality care for a patient panel.

You will report to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment. This is a full-time remote role requiring occasional travel for meetings and events, with a nationwide candidate pool including VA.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an ACGME accredited medical school.
• Completion of medical residency program; Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics required.
• ABMS Board Certification corresponding to completed residency program or additional training.
• 5+ years of primary care (or Urgent care) experience.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in GA, TX, FL or IMLCC.
• Experience in NP and PA supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct high quality, safe patient care via telemedicine while working with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide supervision to APPs (NPs and PAs) delivering care in a virtual environment and support clinical growth.
• Clinical escalation point for the care delivery team as needed.
• Contribute to development of clinical guidelines and continuous care model improvement.
• Conduct quality assurance audits and ensure patient safety.
• Be accountable for quality of care and superior member experience.
