Job summary

Bush & Bush Law Group seeks a Senior Personal Injury Trial Attorney to manage a plaintiff PI caseload from intake to trial, while building the firm's presence in the assigned state. You will lead litigation efforts, supervise teams, and drive case strategy in a remote-capable role.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of PI litigation, extensive MVA/CVA experience, top-tier writing and advocacy skills, and a track record as a first-chair trial lawyer.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing in Ohio, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Washington, California, or New York.
• Minimum 10 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience.
• Extensive MVA and CVA litigation experience required.
• First-chair trial experience strongly preferred.
• Strong legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation docket.
• Experience working remotely while maintaining high productivity and responsiveness.
• Established relationships with medical providers, experts, and litigation support professionals are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal injury caseload from intake through resolution.
• Handle MVA, CVA, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex injury claims.
• Develop litigation strategies and oversee all phases of litigation.
• Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
• Prepare and try cases when settlement is not in the client's best interest.
• Work closely with paralegals, case managers, and support staff to maximize outcomes.
• Serve as lead personal injury attorney within the assigned state.
• Assist in establishing and growing personal injury operations within the state.
• Build relationships with medical providers, treatment facilities, and expert witnesses.
• Develop state-specific pre-lit and litigation procedures, workflows, and best practices.
• Provide guidance on local court rules and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure consistent client service and standards.
• Mentor future attorneys and staff as the firm's presence grows.
• Stay informed on legal developments and opportunities in the jurisdiction.
