Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead, Systems Engineering with deep expertise in Link 22 tactical data links.

You will lead architecture, design, and testing for airborne and maritime platforms, ensuring interoperability across multi‑node networks and security domains. Responsibilities include integrating Link 22 hardware/software (SNC, SPC, LLC), translating CONOPS into requirements, and directing interoperability testing in lab and field environments.

Qualifications

• Active US Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.
• Bachelors in electrical engineering technology and 9+ years of related experience; software engineer considered.
• Graduate degree with 7+ years of related experience; or 13+ years with no degree.
• Translate customer needs into clear, testable system requirements.
• Experience creating tactical datalink scenarios for software development and testing.
• Strong problem solving in complex technical environments.
• Hands-on experience integrating Link 22 for airborne/ground use.
• Knowledge of Link 22 network architecture, NPG design, time slot, STANAG 5522.
• Experience with Curtiss-Wright & Leonardo DRS Link 22 products.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Link 22 SME with architecture, data flows, and configuration options.
• Integrate Link 22 with airborne and maritime platforms for ops.
• Design Link 22 data flows across multi-node networks.
• Develop and maintain exportable Link 22 configurations.
• Configure SNC, SPC, and LLC for interoperability.
• Design physical architectures with Link 22 and other data links.
• Design and test wideband and narrowband comms for Link 22 ops.
• Translate CONOPS into system requirements and ensure traceability.
• Write subsystem specs and evaluate alternative designs.
• Plan interoperability testing in lab and field environments.
