Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Full-Stack Engineer to design, build, and deploy next-generation intelligent applications for a stealth-mode startup. This hands-on tech lead will guide a small, US-based and offshore team in NYC or San Francisco.

You will build scalable Node.js/TypeScript backends, modern React UIs, and integrate AI via LLM APIs and automated workflows, while shaping architecture and ensuring security, reliability, and performance across the stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong full-stack experience with Node.js, TypeScript and React across backend and frontend.
• Hands-on backend services, RESTful APIs and microservices with Node.js/TypeScript.
• Advanced React experience: hooks, state management, performance optimization.
• Experience integrating AI or LLM APIs into production apps.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Technical leadership including architecture decisions, code reviews, mentoring, and collaboration with product/design teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable Node.js/TypeScript backend services.
• Develop modern React-based user interfaces.
• Integrate AI capabilities via LLM APIs and automated workflows.
• Lead architecture decisions and perform code reviews.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and collaborate with product/design teams.
• Ensure security, reliability, performance, and scalability across the stack.
