Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Lead Utility Engineer to provide technical leadership on large renewable energy projects in North America. You will oversee engineering execution, coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts, and serve as a primary technical resource through development, design, construction, and commissioning.

The role requires a PE license, 10+ years of experience in utility-scale solar/BESS, and strong leadership and communication skills to mentor teams and uphold engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Licensed PE or ability to obtain licensure as required.
• 10+ years of engineering experience on utility-scale power projects.
• Proven leadership of multiple large solar and/or BESS projects exceeding 100 MW.
• Strong understanding of utility-scale electrical systems and design.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering delivery for utility-scale solar, energy storage, and hybrid generation projects.
• Establish project design criteria, technical standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate interfaces across electrical, civil, structural, and telecom disciplines.
• Oversee external consultants and subcontractors.
• Review design packages, calculations, and construction deliverables.
• Support equipment evaluation, technical due diligence, and procurement.
