Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking an experienced Lead Embedded Software Engineer for our Defense Solutions Group in the United States. You will oversee design, development, and testing of embedded software for defense-grade products and drive architecture decisions in secure applications.

The role requires US citizenship, DoD clearance, and 8–12+ years in software development with 5+ years in leadership. Remote US work options are available, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related technical field.
• 8–12+ years of progressive software development experience; 5+ years leading software projects.

Responsibilities

• Participate in discussions and analyze product plans to generate software specifications for new products and enhancements.
• Collaborate with systems engineering and hardware teams to develop solutions and resolve software/hardware issues.
• Plan, design, develop, and test embedded software for embedded systems per standards.
• Implement and integrate bootloaders, device drivers, applications, and test software.
• Diagnose and resolve advanced software defects with cross-functional staff.
• Evaluate customer issues and implement software modifications to improve functionality.
• Develop software design and test documentation and user manuals.
