Job summary

CS Group USA is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Development Engineer with real-time embedded expertise to lead requirements, design, and development for safety-critical airborne systems. The role supports DO-178 objectives and offers remote flexibility with onsite hybrid options in CT.

Strong leadership and collaboration across cross-functional teams are essential. Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in embedded software, RTES/RTOS, C/C++, Python, and scripting, with a proven ability to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Strong experience in embedded software development.
7+ years of hands-on experience with real-time embedded systems.

Responsibilities

Perform end-to-end software development activities for embedded aerospace and defense systems from concept to integration.
Collaborate across systems, hardware, software, verification, and certification teams.
Ensure DO-178 objectives are satisfied through audits, reviews and data package development.
Define and defend technical decisions to stakeholders while guiding implementation and conducting design reviews.
Capture high-level and low-level requirements accurately and effectively.
Translate requirements into design and code with precision.
Support schedules and quality objectives while communicating status to stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
