Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Lead Electrical Design Engineer to guide renewable energy project design worldwide. The role focuses on leading electrical design teams, developing single-line diagrams, schematics, and HV/MV systems with strict IEC/IEEE standards.

You will mentor engineers, review power system studies, specify transformers, inverters, BESS, and coordinate with project managers across borders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, with at least 5 years in large-scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, BESS).
• Proven experience leading engineering design teams and managing complex projects.
• HV and MV systems knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of electrical design engineers on renewable energy projects.
• Oversee development of electrical designs: single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring details, grounding plans.
• Conduct and review power system studies: load flow, fault analysis, harmonic analysis, protection coordination.
• Specify major electrical equipment: transformers, switchgear, inverters, PV modules, BESS.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC, IEEE, local codes, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and external stakeholders for project execution.
• Develop and manage technical specifications, RFPs, and bid evaluations.
• Provide guidance during construction, commissioning, and operations.
• Drive innovation for efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage design risks and implement quality control.
