Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, with at least 5 years in large-scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, BESS).
• Proven experience leading engineering design teams and managing complex projects.
• HV and MV systems knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of electrical design engineers on renewable energy projects.
• Oversee development of electrical designs: single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring details, grounding plans.
• Conduct and review power system studies: load flow, fault analysis, harmonic analysis, protection coordination.
• Specify major electrical equipment: transformers, switchgear, inverters, PV modules, BESS.

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to contribute from your chosen location. You will lead electrical design teams, oversee the creation of complex electrical schematics for solar farms, wind energy installations, and grid-connected systems, and ensure adherence to the highest engineering standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of electrical design engineers working on renewable energy projects.
• Oversee the development of comprehensive electrical designs, including single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring details, and grounding plans.
• Conduct and review detailed power system studies, such as load flow, fault analysis, harmonic analysis, and protection coordination.
• Specify major electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, inverters, PV modules, and battery energy storage systems.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant international standards (IEC, IEEE), local codes, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, civil/structural engineers, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Develop and manage technical specifications, RFPs, and bid evaluations for electrical components and construction.
• Provide expert technical guidance during the construction, commissioning, and operational phases of projects.
• Drive innovation in electrical design for renewable energy systems, focusing on efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage design risks and implement quality control procedures for all electrical design deliverables.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years focused on large-scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, BESS).
• Proven experience in leading engineering design teams and managing complex projects.
• Expertise in power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
• In‑depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, grid interconnection requirements, and international standards.
• Experience with high voltage (HV) and medium voltage (MV) systems.
• Strong understanding of power electronics, inverters, transformers, and protection systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, essential for managing remote teams.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
