Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join a fully remote team. You will own the electrical design process from concept to implementation for advanced automation systems, collaborating with clients and global engineering teams.

A seasoned professional with leadership capabilities will thrive in this distributed environment. The ideal candidate has a strong automation background, extensive PLC/HMI/VFD/servo knowledge, and proficiency in CAD tools like EPLAN and AutoCAD

Qualifications

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
10+ years in electrical design engineering with automation focus.
Experience in leadership or senior technical roles.
Extensive PLC programming, HMI development, and VFD/servo control experience.
Proficiency with electrical CAD software (EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical).
Deep understanding of Profinet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus protocols.
Excellent communication and multi-project management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design and development of industrial automation systems.
Architect robust electrical control system solutions incl. PLC/HMI, VFD, servo systems.
Oversee schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs.
Ensure designs meet international safety standards (ISO, UL, CE).
Collaborate with mechanical, software and manufacturing engineers.
Mentor a team of electrical design engineers.
