Job summary

Applied Engineering is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a team delivering power systems and control solutions across North America. This remote position supports national scope with up to 20% travel within the USA.

You will lead electrical design and validation for major subsystems, own schematics and BOMs, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with mechanical, systems, and manufacturing teams to drive robust, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5+ years in electrical design or electromechanical systems.
• Experience with switchgear, switchboards, transfer switches, loadbanks, and generators.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and validation for major subsystems and product areas.
• Translate requirements into robust electrical designs.
• Own schematics, drawings, calculations, and BOMs.
• Drive reviews, prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
