Placements24 seeks a seasoned Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a fully remote US team. You will lead the conceptualization and detailed design of electrical systems for large infrastructure projects, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams from your home office.

You will apply expertise in load flow, protection, and power system analysis, ensuring compliance with IEEE and national codes while delivering sustainable electrical solutions.

Formación

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years of progressive electrical design experience with infrastructure focus.
• Expertise in PSS/E, DigSILENT PowerFactory and CAD tools.
• Deep understanding of national and international electrical codes (IEEE, SANS).
• Proven ability to lead design teams and manage complex technical challenges.
• Exceptional communication skills for remote collaboration with clients.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and development of electrical systems for major infrastructure projects (substations, distribution networks, utilities).
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports using industry-standard software.
• Perform load flow, short circuit, and protection calculations.
• Coordinate with civil/architectural teams for integrated designs.
• Review and approve designs prepared by external consultants and internal teams.
• Stay updated on latest engineering advancements and technologies.
