Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a remote-first robotics and automation team. You will design and optimize robotic systems and automated equipment deployed globally, working from anywhere.

Lead end-effectors and automated systems, perform FEA, and validate through DVPs. Collaborate with cross-functional remote teams and mentor junior engineers while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• .Master's degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design with robotics or automation.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software and advanced FEA tools is required.
• Proven ability to lead remote mechanical design projects and collaborate globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of robotic end-effectors, arms, and automated systems.
• Create detailed CAD designs and manufacturing drawings for global production.
• Perform stress, vibration, and thermal analyses using FEA tools.
• Develop and execute design validation plans (DVPs) with simulations and tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional remote teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Ensure designs meet safety standards and customer specifications.
• Document designs with specifications, test reports, and guidelines.
