Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a visionary Lead Director for AI/ML and Data Engineering to build and scale enterprise AI capabilities across a major health platform. You will lead reusable data products, data engineering, and platform operations, driving governance, security, and responsible AI at scale.

The role requires 10+ years in software/Data/AI, with 7+ years leading large platform teams, and a U.S.-based remote work arrangement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, AI, ML, platform engineering, or related disciplines.
• 7+ years of leading large-scale platform engineering organizations for enterprise AI/ML platforms.
• 7+ years building and scaling AI/ML platforms, DevSecOps, MLOps, LLMOps, deployment automation, security engineering, and platform operations.
• 7+ years operating secure cloud-native platforms in regulated environments (privacy, security, governance, compliance).
• 5+ years leading engineering organizations and building enterprise data engineering capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, architecture, and delivery of enterprise AI platform capabilities (RAG, vector search, memory/context services).
• Lead development and operation of reusable data products and enterprise data engineering capabilities.
• Establish platform reliability, observability, infrastructure automation, security, privacy, and governance standards.
• Guide technology strategy with cross-functional leaders to accelerate AI and data modernization.
• Build and develop high-performing teams of Engineering Managers, Data Engineers, AI Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Operations Engineers.
