Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP in Los Angeles seeks a Lateral Recruiting Manager to lead recruiting for lateral paralegals and attorneys across SBUs. You will work closely with the Managing Director of Growth and Director of Legal Recruiting on all attorney and paralegal hiring and may assist with law student recruiting as needed.

Qualifications

• 4‑year degree required preferably in a related field.
• 5 years of progressive experience in law firm recruiting required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong initiative and self‑motivation.
• High degree of attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding candidates, Firm matters, and recruiting matters.
• Ability to work under pressure, to handle conflicting priorities, and to meet deadlines.
• Ability to represent the Firm in a favorable and businesslike manner.
• Ability to travel to other offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead lateral paralegal and attorney recruiting efforts across SBUs.
• Oversee posting, resume review, interviews, and candidate screening.
• Manage candidate data, communications, and contact lists.
• Coordinate offers and licensing, conflicts checks, and due diligence.
• Source candidates via LinkedIn, Firm Prospects, and other channels.
• Provide market research on recruiting trends and compensation.
• Mentor and manage Lateral Recruiting Specialist and Coordinator.
