Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Lateral Recruiting Specialist to lead the full lifecycle of lateral attorney recruitment, from posting and screening to offers and onboarding. This fully remote role partners with leadership to align talent strategy with the firm's growth objectives.

Ideal candidates have a 4-year degree with JD preferred, 3+ years in a professional services or law firm environment, and strong communication, organization, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required; Juris Doctor degree preferred or commensurate experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a professional services firm; law firm recruiting experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong initiative and self-motivation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding candidates and Firm matters.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle conflicting priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to travel to other offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lateral attorney recruiting and hiring strategies.
• Manage full recruitment process from intake through offer acceptance.
• Draft, post, and manage job postings; liaise with LinkedIn Recruiter and job boards.
• Screen resumes, coordinate interviews, and maintain accurate candidate records.
• Serve as primary point of contact for candidates and recruiters; build firm relationships.
• Collaborate with leadership to determine offer terms and ensure due diligence.
• Partner with DEI, Marketing, and Onboarding teams to support recruiting efforts.
• Maintain recruiting databases, generate reports, and monitor budgeting.
