American Rivers is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to support the Finance & Accounting team remotely. You will help ensure GAAP-compliant recording of transactions and assist with month-end close.

The role covers accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliations, regulatory reporting, and audits. A Bachelor's degree in accounting and strong attention to detail are required.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and vendor payments.
• Maintain vendor files, W-9s, and contracts.
• Record accounts receivable, grant reimbursements, invoicing.
• Prepare general ledger entries and assist month-end close.
• Support audits and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure GAAP adherence and internal controls.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
• Assist with regulatory reporting (IRS, 1099).
