Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Data Scientist to contribute to the development of statistical and machine learning models for the FALCON program, using live and historical data to detect kinematic behaviors. You will build and run simulations, develop data pipelines, and collaborate with software engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to turn complex data into actionable insights.

This role requires US citizenship, ability to obtain CBP/DHS suitability, and a data science degree with experience in time

Qualifications

• US citizen required; ability to obtain CBP/DHS suitability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, CS, Physics, Mathematics, or related field (4+ years may substitute; Master’s counts as 2 years).
• Experience with Python and libraries: pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, scipy.
• Experience with time series and geospatial data; strong statistics background.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and data file systems (HDFS).
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing analytic solutions to meet customer needs.
• Enhance analytic solutions for quality and performance.
• Integrate data from multiple sources to create a common operating picture.
• Select and implement statistical analyses and scoring metrics.
• Create training and test datasets for algorithms.
• Perform ETL data processing and validation.
• Produce analytic reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Identify data visualization needs for analysis and UI.
• Perform feature engineering, classifier optimization, and anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to decompose data science needs.
• Document data science processes and results; explore new ML algorithms.
