Job summary

MAXAR Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist to develop statistical and ML models for Falcon initiative. Role can be performed remotely within the continental United States and requires U.S. citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.

You will process live and historical data, build data pipelines, and collaborate with software engineers and stakeholders to deliver analytics-ready capabilities for mission-focused software. Strong time-series and geospatial expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• US citizen required.
• Ability to obtain CBP/DHS suitability clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a data-related field plus 4+ years experience or a Master’s with more experience.
• Proficient in Python with libraries such as pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, scipy.
• Experience processing time series and geospatial data; strong statistics background.

Responsibilities

• Design analytic solutions and extend mission-focused software applications.
• Develop data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytics APIs.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Create training/test datasets and perform model evaluation and forecasting.
• Document code, processes, and analyses; contribute to code reviews.
